Overview of making movies

Spiegel is capable of creating movies where one or more cameras can be positioned around a 3D visualization, and the cameras can move over time along predefined paths. The starting point for making movies should be the MovieGlossary, which explains some of the terms used in the rest of the documentation. The steps for making a movie are as follows:

  1. Create visualization program
  2. Create camera flythrough path
  3. Connect flythrough to visualization
  4. Render frame-by-frame images
  5. Combine frame images into a movie file
